I went up to Clemson University with Adam, Megan and their dog Roscoe one day back in January. Even though it was a chilly day, we had a good time walking around campus. Adam is a former co-worker of mine and it was great to meet and get to know Megan. We made sure to drop by some of the more well known places on campus including the South Carolina Botanical Gardens, Memorial Stadium (aka Death Valley), the Tiger statue in front of Littlejohn Coliseum and Bowman Field.
Adam and Megan are getting married this July in Durham, NC and I’m looking forward to covering their wedding day!

I was in Graphic Communications at Clemson with both Bryan and Angela, but we have been able to get to know them much better since they have started coming to LifePoint Church. We took a walk with them through downtown Greenville a few weeks ago for their engagement portraits. There are a lot of really cool places that make our downtown unique – you can see here the fountain in front of the Westin-Poinsett hotel, the open air area at Larkin’s on the River, various scenes at Falls Park and further down through the West End.

Rebekah and Miller were married on the beach at the Isle of Palms over the Labor Day weekend. We had already planned to be staying at Wild Dunes with my wife’s family this weekend, so I was really just a short walk down the beach to the spot where they were getting married. There was a light mist falling as we were wrapping up her bridal portraits, which will be displayed at a reception for extended family and friends back in Greenville, but the rain held off during the ceremony and family shots. The ceremony was in an intimate family setting, with a light breeze coming up off of the ocean and with other vacationers looking on.

Emily and Eric were married last month in Johnson City, Tennessee. I had never been to that part of Tennessee before but it was a really pretty part of the country, with grassy rolling hills leading up into the mountains. The wedding was at Boone Trail Baptist Church and the reception was held at the Storytelling Center. We were all happy to have beautiful weather the day of the wedding, since the day of their engagement portraits ended up being the coldest day of the year and there was the threat of thunderstorms the day I shot Emily’s bridal portraits.

Ellice and Charlie were married at Westminster Presbyterian Church and the reception was held at the Piedmont Club in Spartanburg, SC in June. Southern Panache Events did a nice job planning the rehearsal dinner and the reception, keeping things running smoothly and on time. The reception was especially entertaining, with a rockin’ band, a caricature artist on the patio, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Chick-fil-a nuggets brought in.

I shot Emily’s bridal portraits on the campus of Wofford College. It was a really overcast day – in fact, there was a really bad storm coming through Greenville when I left for Spartanburg. Based on the radar, we weren’t going to have a lot of time to shoot before the rain hit Wofford. Fortunately, the rain held off long enough for us to shoot.
Emily and Eric’s wedding was this past weekend in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Here are a couple of my favorite shots from last weekend’s engagement shoot with Ellice and Charlie at Hatcher Garden in Spartanburg. It was a nice day for a shoot and the garden provided some nice scenery – so nice that there were a ton of couples there having their pictures taken before their high school prom. Nevertheless, we were able to manage to keep everyone else out of the shots.
I’ll be shooting their wedding later this summer, and I am looking forward to working with them again.

Bill was one of my college roommates, so this was a really fun wedding to shoot. I already knew a lot of the groomsmen and I was also able to get to know Kacie when I was shooting her bridal portraits around Clemson. The wedding was held at First Baptist Church in SimpsonvilleĀ and the reception was at Thornhill Country Club.
