Meet Jim

Hi, my name is Jim Ferguson and I am a photographer & designer living in Greenville, SC. After growing up in Clinton, SC, I graduated in December ‘06 from Clemson University with a degree in Graphic Communications and a minor in Advertising. While at Clemson, I developed a strong interest in photography while taking a class on traditional film photography and dark room techniques. I loved going through campus and the surrounding areas shooting whatever caught my eye. After doing quite a bit of nature and landscape photography, I branched out and began covering stories for Clemson’s student newspaper, The Tiger.

My experience shooting as a journalist for The Tiger and my background in nature/landscape photography heavily influence the way I capture weddings. I take a fly-on-a-wall approach, allowing events to progress on their own and capture the moments and emotions as they occur naturally. Your wedding day is about you and your guests, not the guy with the camera. I also prefer shooting in natural light, when possible.
